Update: Ebukam returned to the field on the next possession, but exited near the end of the first half. He has been in and out of the game with limited effectiveness.
San Francisco 49ers left defensive end Samson Ebukam left the game in the first quarter with a right knee injury.
By video, Ebukam appeared to suffer a right knee MCL sprain when he was slammed into on a rush from Caleb Huntley, according to the Pro Football Docs.
Ebukam had his right leg trapped underneath him on the tackle, but was able to walk off under his own power.
The 49ers are already down star edge rusher Nick Bosa, who suffered a groin strain last week against Carolina.
San Francisco faces the Chiefs at home in Week 7.
