Running Backs - Chris Carson missed a solid chunk of the 2020 season from Weeks 8-11 with a foot injury, in a period where Seattle was scrambling to field any running backs at all. He has been solid upon his return and is slated to be the starting running back heading into the playoffs.
Rashaad Penny sat out the majority of the regular season as he recovered from a 2019 ACL injury, but has returned in recent weeks. He has been used sparingly, with just a few touches but after Seattle dealt with so many running back injuries this year, they just have to be glad to have his depth around.
Carlos Hyde is another of the Seahawks rushers who has been hurt this year, and he dealt with both shoulder and hamstring issues, missing Weeks 4-5 and 8-10 respectively. He serves a valuable role in this offense alongside Carson as a bit of a 1B back, and appears to have put these issues behind him as they approach the playoffs. He sat out Week 17 with an illness but should return.
Tight Ends - Greg Olsen has been a solid pass catching option for Russell Wilson this season, and though he missed Weeks 12-15 with a foot injury he has returned to finish out the regular season schedule. He has yet to break out a big game, but is a steady presence in Seattle and should continue this role moving forward.
Offensive Lineman - Mike Iupati is one of the key veteran presences on this offensive line, but he missed Weeks 5-9 with a knee injury. He returned to play 6 games, but missed Weeks 16 and 17 with a neck injury. Hopefully he will be able to return for the playoffs, but we will monitor his practice status while questions circle about his availability.
Linebackers - Rookie 1st round linebacker Jordyn Brooks has made himself a valuable piece of the Seahawks defense, but he was limited earlier in the year with a knee issue. He missed Weeks 4 and 5, but has returned strong and has helped fill the void left by Bruce Irvin, who is out for the year with an ACL tear.
Cornerbacks - Cornerback has been a position of concern over the course of the Seahawks’ season as Quinton Dunbar and Tre Flowers have ended up on Injured Reserve and are out for the duration of the season. Shaquill Griffin missed 3 weeks with a concussion, which is an extended absence, and though he returned in Week 12, missing this much time with a concussion is a concern.
Safeties - The Seahawks have taken serious losses in their safety corps this season, with Lano Hill and Marquise Blair ending their campaigns on injured reserve. Star safety Jamal Adams missed some time with a groin injury but has since returned to play, but injured his shoulder in Week 17 and exited the game, giving cause for concern.
