SIC Betting: NFL Wild Card Weekend Player Props

Following the longest regular season in NFL history, the playoffs are finally upon us. We get started on Saturday for Super Wild Card Weekend that features 6 games.

More games means more betting opportunities. FanDuel Sportsbook offers player props for each matchup. Our staff picked their best bets for Wild Card Weekend.

Damien Harris Over 58.5 Rushing Yards

This may end up being my favorite play of the entire postseason. FanDuel set Harris' total rushing yards at just 58.5 and that's too low considering the success he's had against the Bills this season.

Harris has already faced the Buffalo Bills twice and eclipsed 100 yards on the ground both times. He rolled over Buffalo's defense for 214 yards on just 28 carries (8.4 YPC). Those numbers would have been even more impressive if Harris didn't injure his hamstring in the first meeting.

Harris has a SIC Score of 90, so we believe he's healthy enough to handle a full workload Saturday night in temperatures expected to be below zero. Some might be concerned about the presence of rookie Rhamondre Stevenson but Bill Belichick has traditionally rode one horse at running back in the playoffs. Expect that horse to be Harris.

Look for this number to go up before kickoff. Harris Over 58.5 rushing yards is a top play for me and I'd bet it up to 62.5.

Rob Gronkowski Over 58.5 Receiving Yards

My pick is based on all the injuries to the depleted Bucs' offensive weapons. Now with Cyril Grayson going down with a hamstring injury, Tom Brady will lean on Gronk even more.

Mike Evans' health improvement will help take some focus off Gronk and we'll see Brady use his trusted target a lot versus the Eagles. I like to go over 58.5 yards receiving.

Elijah Mitchell Most Rushing Yards in Playoffs +2000

Elijah Mitchell has been a somewhat forgotten boon for the 49ers this season: In 11 starts, the rookie has averaged 87.5 yards per game, which is 5th in the NFL and 2nd among players in the playoffs (Derrick Henry is 1st).

He has dominated all non-Deebo Samuel rushing opportunities for San Francisco when he was available with the various injuries to Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson Jr., and Trey Sermon (Sermon was activated from IR on Wednesday).

The offensive weapons around him – mainly Samuel, George Kittle, and Brandon Aiyuk – are available and not only create more space for Mitchell to work, but also more big bodies to block for him, especially with the expected return of Trent Williams this weekend versus the Cowboys.

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is also dealing with a torn UCL and fracture in his throwing thumb, and he had to take medication to numb it against the Rams. But if we know Kyle Shanahan, one mistake – which can be almost guaranteed for Garoppolo – and he will make a swift and heavy turn to the running game, meaning more opportunities for Mitchell.

Mitchell +2000 to lead the playoffs in rushing yards is good value.
