SIC Health Matchup: Bucks Bring Full Lineup Against Kyrie Irving, Brooklyn

Injury Advantage: Bucks

The FanDuel Sportsbook line is Bucks -9.5, and the over/under is set at 237.

When these 2 teams played on opening nights, the Bucks won by 23 points in Milwaukee, but both of these teams looked drastically different.

Even in their loss on Jan. 7, when the Bucks won by 12, the Nets’ starting lineup only featured one player – Patty Mills – that is still getting big minutes for Brooklyn.

The Nets are preparing for the return of Kevin Durant from his sprained left MCL sometime in the next week, according to head coach Steve Nash, in the hopes that he will join Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons and make a push in the final few weeks of the regular season

For the time being, however, Brooklyn is running a starting lineup of mostly second-unit players around Irving, who is eligible to play because the game is in Milwaukee.

With Irving in the lineup, the Nets have a SIC Team Health Score of 72.6, according to the ProBasketballDocs.

Irving will likely start alongside Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, Bruce Brown and LaMarcus Aldridge.

The Bucks are without Pat Conaughton, Brook Lopez, and George Hill, giving them a SIC Team Health Score of 87.4.

The Nets are 0-6 this season with Irving and no Durant or the now-gone James Harden, and 4 of the losses have come by 6-or-fewer points, while the other 2 came by 23 and 20.

The Bucks, meanwhile, are 24-7 this season and have a win differential of 11.5 points per 100 possessions when their big 3 of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday all play.

With the Bucks thin at guard with Connaughton out and Donte DiVincenzo traded just before the deadline, Curry and Irving could be in for good shooting nights.

Potential Plays:

Bucks -9.5

Kyrie Irving O24.5 points

Seth Curry O13.5 points
