SIC Player Prop: Alvin Kamara Over Or Under 70.5 Rushing Yards?

NFL player props are the fastest growing market in sports betting. Here at Sports Injury Central, we use health to help you determine which props may be worth betting on a weekly basis.

In Week 14, we have one prop that involves a premier running back  returning from injury. Let's dive in.

Alvin Kamara Over 70.5 Rushing Yards (FanDuel)

Kamara returns on Sunday after missing the last four games with a hamstring injury. That may scare some people off this number, but we don't believe Kamara will be limited when he faces the New York Jets.

Our panel of former team physicians, including Pro Football Doc David Chao, have given Kamara a strong SIC Score of 90 this week. That means Kamara is close to 100% healthy and should see a heavy workload against the Jets.

Now that we know Kamara is healthy, let's look at the matchup. The Jets are allowing the most rushing yards to running backs in the NFL at a clip of 117.6 yards per game. That's 15 yards more than any other team. Seven running backs have topped 70.5 yards against the Jets already this year.

Kamara has eclipsed this number in half of the games he's played this season. With the Saints passing game struggling right now, expect Sean Payton to lean heavily on Kamara and the ground game this week against the Jets' porous rush defense.

This is a high total for a player returning from injury but given the matchup and Kamara's SIC Score of 90, we believe over 70.5 rushing yards is the right side here.
