Matt Stafford exited the Lions’ Week 16 game with an ankle injury and did not return. He was relieved by both Chase Daniels and David Blough, both of whom struggled. While Stafford would obviously be the best option for the final game of the year, the team will have a vested interest in protecting his health as the new management will have to decide his future with the organization as they enter another rebuild.
