In the third installment of 2022 TNF series, the football week will be kicked off with an AFC North rock fight involving the Steelers and Browns. Both teams have pass rush concerns with star rushers from both teams either hampered or out.
The Steelers suffered a close loss to the New England Patriots Week 2 and will look to rebound offensively after scoring a measly 14 points.
A cause for the poor offensive showing can be attributed to star RB Najee Harris who came in with the foot issue that we believe at sicscore.com to be a minor high ankle sprain although wordsmith HC Mike Tomlin reported the issue to be a re-aggravation of the Lisfranc injury he suffered in preseason.
During Week 2, Harris lacked explosiveness averaging a mere 3.3 yards per carry. Going into Thursday his prop sits at 52.5 rushing yards at FanDuel Sportsbook.
On defense, Pittsburgh will again be without star edge rusher T.J. Watt who miss the next few weeks due to a torn pectoral muscle. The team failed to generate a pass rush without him gaining no sacks and allowing QB Mac Jones to throw over 250 yards. Expect the defense to struggle rushing the QB again on Thursday.
The team from Cleveland will go into game with 4 starters either hampered or out including both defensive ends.
Myles Garrett is listed on the injury report with a neck issue and although will suit up, looked stiff at times during the Jets matchup meaning he will play through the general soreness.
Partner in crime Jadeveon Clowney will miss the match due to an ankle issue suffered Week 2.
Although Garrett will play, having both injured will effect their pass rush on Thursday meaning QB Mitchell Trubisky should have ample time to throw the ball. The QBs passing yardage prop is listed at a meager 191.5 on Fanduel Sportsbook.
Elite LG Joe Bitonio will play through his biceps issue which is great news for the Browns run game who will likely rely on Nick Chubb as the game calls for windy skies.
Diontae Johnson O56.5 Receiving Yards
The stud wideout has played well since injuring his shoulder and should have a great opportunity with the Browns defense hampered. Trubisky will find away to get the ball to his star WR with a limited pass rush on Thursday.
