Stephen Curry Set To Rejoin Starting Lineup, Will Still Be Limited By Foot Sprain

Warriors' head coach Steve Kerr told reporters that the team has lifted any minutes restriction for superstar Stephen Curry ahead of Wednesday's Game 5.

While Kerr declined to say whether Curry will start in the potential closeout game, all signs point to that eventuality, although it remains to be seen who will move to the bench.

Curry played 37 minutes in Golden State's Game 4 loss and improved as the game progressed, scoring 23 points on 12 shots in 19 second-half minutes.

Despite the gradual improvement, the 34-year-old is still a few weeks away from a full recovery from his March 16 left foot sprain, the ProBasketballDocs says.

Foot injuries are notoriously slow-healing and difficult to return from because of the appendage's lack of blood flow.

This is especially true for Curry because of the level of movement and acceleration that his game requires. While he will still be productive, the two-time MVP won't be back to 100% until the Western Conference Finals, should the Warriors advance that far.

Curry is averaging 31.3 points and six assists on 54.4% shooting in his last three playoff games, seeing a small increase in minutes in each contest. FanDuel Sportsbook has his over/under for points in Game 5 set at 27.5 and his three-pointers made set at 3.5.
