Taylor Lewan Still In Concussion Protocol, Ruled Out For Matchup Against Chiefs

Taylor Lewan, the Titans' pro-bowl left tackle, was declared out with a concussion for this weekend's matchup against the Chiefs. Lewan suffered the injury during the second quarter of the Titans' 34-31 victory over the Bills last Monday night after he dove head-first into a pile.

Lewan was stabilized and carted off the field. He appeared to jam his head into somebody's back, then lay motionless face down. Lewan was carted off the field in cervical restraints and he did give a thumbs up and Shaka sign with the right side.

Lewan did not appear at practice this week and there is no official timetable for his return, as he will have to pass the league's concussion protocol.

Seventh-year offensive lineman Kendall Lamm will start in Lewan's place. Lamm, who has started 27 games in his career, replaced Lewan after his injury and will start again this week.
