Update: Higgins returned to the game in the second quarter, signaling he cleared the concussion evaluation. He finished with 5 catches for 93 yards.
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins took a helmet-to-helmet hit on a catch in the second quarter against the Jets.
By video, Higgins took a big hit from Jets safety Lamarcus Joyner on the 47-yard completion.
Higgins attempted to get up and tell the training staff he was ok, but he was taken to the blue tent for a concussion check.
The third-year wideout was on the sideline after being checked, a potential good sign for his chances to return.
He suffered a concussion Week 1, but returned for Week 2. If he is diagnosed with another concussion he could be out for an extended period of time.
Concussion recoveries are different for each person, but two concussion in a short span is cause for concern.
