The 49ers running back injured his right shoulder and did not return to the NFC Conference Championship game. His replacement Raheem Mostert played well but, will Coleman be able to play in the Super Bowl versus the Chiefs? An MRI is pending, but I believe the answer is yes. He landed on an outstretched right hand, his elbow shifted but his shoulder took most of the force. By video he likely subluxed / dislocated his shoulder, which is why he needed help off the field. He likely has a labral tear which needs surgery, but that likely can be put off till after the Superbowl. It seems likely that he can play with a harness/strap. One recent example, Titans linebacker Jayon Brown suffered a left shoulder dislocation and labral tear versus New England, but returned to play two weeks later. Expect Coleman to be out there and be productive.
