Rex Burkhead, the Texans backup running back, injured his groin in Sunday's game against the Seahawks and is questionable to return. Houston is already down starting running back David Johnson, who was placed on the COVID reserve list Sunday morning.
Royce Freeman is in the game at running back and could play next week against the Jaguars. Burkhead is questionable to return to the game and could be out next Sunday, depending on the severity of the sprain. Johnson will have to test negative twice 24 hours apart, something few players have accomplished this season.
