Logan Thomas, Curtis Samuel to Return In Limited Capacity for Washington

Washington will get a significant boost to its offense tonight against the Seahawks with the returns of tight end Logan Thomas and wide receiver Curtis Samuel. We expect Thomas to look healthy, but Samuel likely won’t be effective if he plays, and both will be on snap counts as they return from extended absences from soft-tissue ailments. The 30-year-old tight end will return from IR, ending a 7-week stint since suffering a hamstring strain early in week 4. Before the injury, Thomas caught 12 passes for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Samuel, who signed a 3-year $35 million contract in the offseason, has only played in 1 game and a bit of another this season while dealing with an offseason groin injury.

The offensive line, however, will be down to its backup right tackle and third-string center after placing Sam Cosmi on IR and ruling Tyler Larsen out this week. They will luckily be playing a Seattle defense that allows a league-worst 401.8 yards per game and is 30th in the NFL with 17 sacks.
