The Eagles defensive lineman was reported to have broken his foot and was seen in a walking boot. The thought is that he will not need surgery and could return in four to six weeks from his presumptive metatarsal acute fracture. This is a better injury than Malik Jackson's presumptive Lisfranc injury, which will sideline him for the year. This affects the Eagles on the defensive line to go along with the woes in the defensive backfield. Jernigan will be out until late October but should beat Jackson back.
