T.J. Watt Ruled Out With Groin Issue, Would Have Been Limited If Active

T.J. Watt was limited all week in practice with a groin injury and is listed as questionable ahead of the team's Week 3 matchup with the Bengals. Watt left the Week 2 loss to the Raiders in the second quarter and did not return to the game. We expect the Steelers to be cautious with the three-time Pro Bowl linebacker to avoid reaggravation of the groin injury. If he plays, he will likely only play a limited number of snaps. Fellow linebacker Alex Highsmith is already listed as out with a groin injury he picked in practice this week. Also, cornerback Joe Haden and linebacker Devin Bush are recovering from a groin injuries they suffered in practice last week. Haden and Bush do not have injury designations.

Update

At first Watt was listed as questionable with said groin issue but has now been ruled out. The elite edge rusher will take a week off to recover as his snaps would have likely been limited.
