His knee health is exactly where we thought it would be. He is still a very effective running back but no longer the bell cow we once saw. The new normal is practicing every other day to give his arthitic knee veteran’s rest. 12-15 carries is the expected workload, the days of 20 plus touches are long gone. Last week he was good for 14 carries and 97 yards, but Malcom Brown had the two touchdowns on 11 carries. Gurley's yards per carry average is a healthy 6.9, while Brown averages 4.8. This is the new normal for the once bell cow back Gurley.
