Tony Pollard, the Cowboys versatile running back, missed practice Wednesday with a foot injury he picked up in the win over the Saints. News has come out that he in fact tore his left plantar fascia. Tearing one's plantar fascia is both good and bad news. The bad news is that it is certainly painful and a player could miss time. The good news is once it tears, the injury heals after initial swelling and is likely not a long term injury. In the meantime, the question is if he can play as his role has increased due to Elliott's knee issues. In our NFL experience, it is possible to play through this injury with a gameday injection. Injections aren't typically done to get through practice meaning even with a DNP, it is not impossible for Pollard to play with an injection on gameday.
