Aaron Judge - SIC score 46

Coming up the 10 day-mark in his right big toe injury recovery, Judge remains without an official timetable for a return, according to Yankees manager Aaron Boone.

Given that he took a PRP injection, the Pro Baseball Docs projected that Judge would be out until the third week of June at best.

The Yankees will be motivated to get him back as soon as possible (even if he’s not at 100%), but it remains to be seen when he will start ramping up for action.

Yordan Alvarez - SIC score 28

Houston’s hefty left hander was placed on the 10-day IL with a right oblique strain he suffered on June 8.

The oblique muscle is crucial for providing power during a swing, thus expect Alvarez to be out well beyond the minimum 10 days.

There’s hope he can return before the 60-day mark, but the Astros will have to find another solution in the lineup for the time being.

Alvarez was second in the American League with 17 home runs when he was injured.

Pete Alonso - SIC score 31

The National League leader in home runs (22) was hit on the left wrist by a fastball on June 7 and is currently on the 10-day IL with a bone bruise and left wrist sprain.

He will miss at least three weeks and potentially need a rehab stint before returning to the club.

Given the importance of the left hand/wrist for providing power in a right-hander’s swing, Alonso will need to be near 100% before returning.

Byron Buxton - SIC score 84

Twins designated hitter Bryon Buxton landed on the 10-day IL after taking a fastball to the ribs on June 1.

His X-rays came back negative, thus Buxton should be nearly ready to go.

Manager Rocco Baldelli told reporters it's “possible” Buxton returns as soon as Tuesday against the Brewers.

Minnesota is surely itching to have him back in the lineup, as he has 10 home runs and 23 RBIs in 50 games this season.

Vinnie Pasquantino - SIC score 43

Pasquantino exited Friday’s contest with right shoulder discomfort that was later termed soreness.

He was placed on the 10-day IL and will likely miss beyond the minimum 10 days. As a power-hitting left handed batter, his right shoulder will need to be fully healed for him to return to a Royals team with nothing to play for this season.

The 25-year-old had a similar right shoulder injury last season and missed 17 days. He’s hitting .247 with 9 home runs this season.

Ben Joyce - SIC score 33

Joyce, the rookie flamethrower out of the Angels bullpen, was diagnosed with ulnar neuritis in his throwing elbow after leaving his latest appearance on June 9.

An MRI showed he does not have damage to his UCL, which was repaired in October 2020.

While Joyce has dodged a bullet temporarily, the Pro Baseball Docs assert he will need another Tommy John surgery in the near future.

Rays lefty Jeffrey Springs was originally diagnosed with ulnar neuritis before undergoing Tommy John surgery earlier this season.

Pete Fairbanks - SIC score 78

Currently on a rehab assignment, Fairbanks is eligible to be recalled as soon as Wednesday.

He was placed on the 15-day IL with left hip inflammation in late May but has recovered well.

Fairbanks has notched 5 saves in 13 appearances this year and has a 1.54 ERA with 10 strikeouts in 11.2 innings.
