Quarterbacks To Target In Fantasy Football Drafts

Here are the quarterbacks whose injury concerns are in the past, so we recommend you target them in your fantasy football drafts. Note the ADP's are from Sleeper with standard scoring. If you haven't tried it for your Fantasy Football league, we recommend using it this year for the best fantasy football experience!

Joe Burrow - SIC score 94 - ADP 62.8

Started last season with a strained calf and never really got a good start from there. He then suffered a torn wrist ligament in Week 11. Burrow has been cleared for all activities that do not involve contact and has even taken piano lessons to aid in his wrist recovery. With Burrow’s innovative rehab approach and a focused offseason, there’s optimism for a strong comeback.

Kyler Murray - SIC Score 94 - ADP 79.6

Kyler Murray spent the first half of last season recovering from an ACL tear sustained on December 12, 2022. He returned in Week 10 and played nearly all the snaps for the remainder of the season. In the 10 games he played, Murray primarily operated from the pocket, rushing only 44 times and throwing for 1,799 yards and 10 touchdowns, despite not being considered 100%. At the start of training camp, he is expected to be fully healthy and will face no restrictions for the upcoming season. Despite not playing in any of the Cardinals preseason games, Murray is considered to be fully healthy to start the season and is a full go for Week 1.

Aaron Rodgers - SIC Score 93 - ADP 146.4

Rodgers tore his left Achilles just four plays into his Jets tenure. Pro Football Docs expect him to be fully ready for training camp with no restrictions. He did not participate in team minicamp, which head coach Robert Saleh explicitly deemed an "unexcused absence." There is no concern over the blister scare he dealt with during OTA’s. Despite not playing in any of the Jets preseason games, Rodgers will be ready for Week 1 and is expected to have recovered fully from the Achilles tear a season ago.

Deshaun Watson - SIC Score 93 - ADP 187

Watson has yet to regain the form he displayed during his height in Houston. Last season, he dealt with various shoulder ailments that ultimately ended with a glenoid fracture in his shoulder. He has yet to eclipse 1,200 yards passing since his time in Houston.

Quarterbacks To Avoid In Fantasy Football Drafts

Here are the quarterbacks we recommend you avoid them at their ADP in your fantasy football drafts. Note the ADP's are from Sleeper with standard scoring.

Anthony Richardson - SIC Score 91 - ADP 53

Richardson has been dealing with shoulder soreness during offseason workouts and OTAs. He underwent season-ending shoulder surgery after suffering a severe AC joint sprain. Our panel of Pro Football Docs maintains that Richardson will be fine for the beginning of training camp and the season. The current shoulder soreness is unrelated to his AC joint injury, stemming instead from throwing a football and the culmination of offseason activities after months of inactivity. He will be ready for Week 1 after a good showing in the Colts final preseason game going 8-14 for 86yds and one TD pass.

Justin Herbert - SIC Score 83 - ADP 123

Following practice on August 1, 2024, Justin Herbert was diagnosed with a plantar fascia injury in his right foot. He was placed in a walking boot and was held out until the regular season starts. While he is expected to be ready for Week 1, there is concern that missed practice time could result in disruptions to the continuity of the Chargers' offense.

During the telecast of the Charger's final preseason game, broadcaster Dan Fouts stated “He [Herbert] told me last night that his right foot has healed completely and is no longer an issue.” he has been practicing despite not playing in any of the teams preseason games, he will be ready for Week 1

Daniel Jones - SIC Score 92 - ADP 235

Daniel Jones suffered two significant injuries last season. After a hard hit on a sack, he sustained a neck hyperextension and was evaluated for a concussion, causing him to miss three games. Upon his return, he suffered a torn ACL, which ended his season.

Jones played in the Giant's second preseason game going 11/18 for 138 yds and 2 INT, while not the most impressive showing, Jones was healthy through the preseason and will be a full go for Week 1 of the Giants regular season
