The Jaguars rookie is now confirmed to have a Lisfranc injury as we initially postulated by report. In video review, Travis Etienne had his left foot trapped underneath the pile in a classic mid-foot sprain/Lisfranc sprain type position. He did limp off and have a boot post-game, although we do not expect there to be significant separation or fracture where he would need surgery but this certainly is a debilitating injury for a speedy running back who makes a living off cuts. At this point in time, you can expect him to miss the start of the season. How long into the season is the question depending on the grade of the injury but his absence should fall in the four to six week range.
