The Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back left the game early in the second quarter, and was later seen in a walking boot. He is confirmed to have a mid-foot sprain, but a timetable has not been released. Travis Etienne is said to be out indefinitely with further tests coming. A mid-foot sprain is a Lisfranc type injury that carries a wide variety of degrees and return timelines. However, mid-foot sprains can definitely affect running and cutting, especially quick running backs who rely on their ability to cut/accelerate. The best case scenario at this point is a return for the start of the season, which is September 12. This is definitely an injury to follow and we will review video as soon as it is available.
