The Raiders’ premiere right tackle had just cleared COVID-19 protocols and was set to return, but was a surprise inactive this week. Initial reports stated that he had an “unrelated illness” and would not play, but it has since come out that a team doctor’s mistake led to his absence. In receiving a pregame IV, an air bubble entered his bloodstream and the embolus travelled to his lungs. This caused discomfort and breathing issues, and he was actually wheeled out of the locker room before the game. This was a very unfortunate turn of events for Brown, but he should be good to go for Week 9.
