The San Francisco 49ers key left tackle was injured Week 4 in what turns out to be a right shoulder injury. His arm was forcibly abducted and it is likely that by video he suffered a shoulder subluxation injury. Williams was seen holding his elbow, but that was to support the right shoulder. He was carted off earlier in the game due to cramps and returned. Williams did not return from the shoulder injury. The MRI will be key to determine if a labral tear is present. The hope is for a short absence and return with a shoulder harness to finish the season. Williams prognosis remains to be determined and we will monitor his status as the week progresses.
