Trent Williams Misses Practice Again Wednesday With Elbow Sprain

Forty Niners pro-bowl left tackle Trent Williams was listed as DNP for the 4th consecutive practice on Wednesday.

Williams missed San Francisco's Week 18 win over the Rams after suffering the right elbow sprain in the 4th quarter the previous game.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said the 33-year-old is trending up this week, and while he is not practicing, the team is hoping he could be back in the building today, according to NBC Sports Bay Area's Jennifer Lee Chan.

Williams has a history this season of missing Wednesday practice but still making it back in time to play. The 49ers will need all the front-line help they can get this weekend against the Cowboys' line, featuring pass-rushers Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Randy Gregory.

Rookie Jaylon Moore started in place of Williams, who missed his 2nd game of the season, the 1st coming in Week 7. The 49ers are already working with backup Tom Compton at right tackle after losing Mike McGlinchey to season-ending IR after tearing his quad in Week 9.
