The Jacksonville Jaguars QB left the MNF game prematurely due to an ankle injury.
By video, Lawrence likely suffered a right inversion ankle sprain when he was stepped on by his LT Walker Little who is playing for the injured Cam Robinson. The injury did not appear severe but Lawrence was unable to return to finish out the contest.
It is not impossible he plays this week against the Browns with the ankle heavily taped.
The QBs knee also hyper-flexed on the play but the injury concern is more with the ankle.
Lawrence walked off the field with help from the training staff and appeared to refuse a cart leading to staff carrying him to locker-room. He was 22 for 29 for 258 yards and 2 touchdowns before exiting. He also rushed for 8 yards and a touchdown.
We at sicscore.com believe the injury is non-surgical and not season-ending.
C.J. Beathard came in to replace him and went 9 for 10 for 63 yards but fell short of beating the Bengals, 34-31 in OT. If Lawrence is unable to suit up Beathard will be in line to make his first official Jaguars start.
