The video speaks for itself. Monday Night Football viewers could see the ankle snap. It was certainly amazing that he could "walk" off and he’s my beast of the week. Not to take anything away from him, but he was able to walk off because the true ankle joint mortise was still intact. His season is over and he’s likely headed for surgery. By video, it appears to be an unusual type of ankle fracture/dislocation. He appeared to have a displaced talar neck fracture. The main danger is not only the bones being out of place, but a poor blood supply could lead to delayed healing or even further problems, including avascular necrosis. The bottom line is we all wish him well.
