Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson has cleared concussion protocol and will play against the Titans Saturday, head coach Zac Taylor told reporters Thursday.
Hendrickson suffered a concussion in the win over the Raiders last Saturday, but logged a full practice on Wednesday and was subsequently cleared by an independent neurologist.
His return is great news for a Cincinnati team down fellow defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi for the rest of the playoffs.
Hendrickson led the team with 14 sacks in the regular season, a half-sack better than his total last season with the Saints.
Ogunjobi was third in the team with 7 sacks this season. He will likely be replaced by B.J. Hill, who had 5.5 sacks and 50 tackles during the regular season.
The Bengals are 3.5-point underdogs on the road against Tennessee, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
