Twins Injury Report: Chris Paddack Exits With Elbow Injury

Twins starter Chris Paddack left Sunday's start against the Oakland Athletics with an apparent elbow injury.

Chris Paddack Injury Update

The 26-year-old was removed in the top of the 3rd inning after getting a strikeout, then allowing back-to-back hits. The team later reported that Paddack is dealing with right elbow inflammation.

Paddack allowed 3 earned runs on 5 hits with 4 strikeouts in 2.1 innings pitched. He has a 4.03 ERA in 5 starts this season.

The team will reportedly have more information after the game, but right now it seems inevitable he will require an IL trip.

Injury Impact on Twins

A day after getting Sonny Gray back, the Twins will be down another starter. Two more starters, Dylan Bundy and Bailey Ober, are also out of the rotation right now.

Bundy recently tested positive for COVID-19, while Ober is dealing with a groin strain.

Carlos Correa, Minnesota's offseason addition, is recovering from a bruised middle finger and could rejoin the lineup as soon as Tuesday. The Twins have an off day scheduled on Monday.

Twins World Series Odds

Minnesota are currently +4000 to win the World Series and +160 to win the AL Central, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
