Both Jamaal Williams and Avonte Maddox, who were stretchered off using emergency protocols, appear to be fine. Thankfully both were discharged from the hospital quickly. Maddox even flew back home with his teammates. Both certainly seem to have suffered concussions and it was a good idea to be cautious with the spine board protocols. By video, we do not see worry for any long term or permanent neurological damage. At this point and time, both players will have to be cleared from concussion protocol before they get back on the field. Given that their is ten days until their next games, they both have a chance to play. However, do not be surprised if they both miss week 5.
