The Colts star receiver was confirmed to have surgery and was placed on injured reserve as we previously indicated in our post three days ago. Once a disk issue arrives, it doesn't "unherniate" or go away, thus the need for surgery. It has been described as minor as the likely surgery was a cervical discectomy and fusion which typically carries a three month timeline for recovery. Hilton is unlikely to come off IR when he's eligible for Week 4 but we would expect a return before the end of the season. As we postulated earlier, disk issues don't disappear without surgery now and now that the surgery is done, Hilton can start to look forward. Unfortunately, the surgery and recovery will cost him a good portion of this season.
