Ty Nsekhe, the Cowboys offensive lineman, was taken to the hospital by ambulance on Thursday due to a heat related illness. This is much more than body cramps as cramps can be taken care of at the facility with IV hydration. Thankfully, quick action prevented worse complications. We all remember that this is the 20th anniversary of the Korey Stringer training camp incident with the Vikings. This is preventable with quick action and the Cowboys medical staff did just that with quick cooling, and then referral to the hospital. The recovery from heat illness is longer than for cramps, which would be very temporary. This is all something to be very careful about and it makes sense that he will miss Week 2 but we would expect him back for Week 3.
