The Jets tight end Tyler Kroft exited the Thursday night game with a chest injury and is now said to have a lung laceration. This is an impactful injury and requires significant time to heal. Kroft will be placed on IR and will likely need a longer than minimum stay. Given that it is November and the Jets are sitting at 2-6, Kraft easily could miss the rest of the season but his earliest return would be sometime in mid December. Hopefully all that he needs is rest but it will likely be at least a month of rest before he can even think about returning to play a collision sport.
