Cheifs' star safety and defensive stalwart Tyrann Mathieu was a full participant in practice on Thursday, a great sign for his potential availability in the AFC Championship Game vs the Bengals.
While the 29-year-old has yet to clear concussion protocol, ProFootballDoc is confident he will be made available before the contest and start for Kansas City.
Mathieu is following a similar path as Nick Bosa last week, as both were DNP on Wednesday before participating on Thursday. Bosa was a full participant on Friday and cleared by an independent neurologist on Saturday.
Mathieu missed nearly all of last week's world-breaking win over the Bills after suffering the concussion 7 plays into the first defensive drive of the game.
His absence led, in part, to the Josh Allen posting 329 yards and 4 passing touchdowns, with all 4 scores going to Gabriel Davis.
The Chiefs will need his presence against Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins, who put up a staggering 415 passing yards and 34 points in a 3-point victory over Kansas City in Week 17.
