Tyreek Hill returned to practice for the first time since injuring his SC joint. He was limited today, but do not take this as a sign he’ll play Sunday. It’s not a matter about being able to run or catch, it’s about being able to take a hit. He dislocated his SC joint posteriorly and was sent to the hospital with worry for the vessels within his chest. He needs to be able to take a hit without the collarbone dislocating into his chest again. All along I thought he would be on the longer end of the four to six week timeline and we are on the fourth week of recovery. Bengals’ John Ross suffered a similar injury and was placed on injured reserve today. This is why I do not believe Hill will play this week or the next. In fact, I believe he will return Week 7 at the earliest, but do not be surprised if it’s a Week 8 return.
