It was reported that Hill was sent to a local hospital for a left shoulder injury. In my two decades as an NFL team physical trainer, this to me doesn't make sense. We rarely sent anyone to the hospital and never for a shoulder.  SC joint injury is at the other end of the collarbone from the AC joint and is at the sternum. Indeed these are very painful, but postural SC joint dislocations are potentially dangerous due to the major vessels that lay right behind. Sounds like Hill got some great care. The question now is when does he return. Typical SC joint injuries can have a player out for 2-4 weeks. However, the implication here is a postural dislocation. Where the clavicle moved completely behind the sternum. This often needs a procedure to reduce and is more painful. His season is not over, but he is at a definite risk for injured reserve.
