Tyrese Haliburton - SIC score 43
Indiana Pacers star point guard Tyrese Haliburton left Monday’s game with a left hamstring injury. By video, it appears to be a significant left proximal hamstring strain.
Haliburton was driving to the basket when he stopped to turn around and pass, then slipped on the wet floor surface with his left leg extended.
The former Kings draftee was carried off the floor by his Indiana teammates and ruled out for the game with a left hamstring injury.
The teams leading score will miss multiple games with a chance to return sometime in late January/early February.
Depending on the grade of hamstring strain which will be revealed on MRI he should be back in time to make a brief appearance in the All-Star game in mid February, which will be hosted in Indiana.
With Halliburton out, Andrew, Nembhard, and TJ McConnell will likely be relied on to play more minutes. Halliburton is averaging 24.2 points per game along with 12.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds. He is shooting 49.6% from the floor and 40.4% from three point range.
The Pacers face Washington, Atlanta, Denver, Utah in Sacramento over the next five games.
