Danielle Hunter, the Vikings star defensive end, left the Sunday night game in the second quarter with a right shoulder injury and has been ruled out. By video, we didn't see a specific injury mechanism on his last tackle, which came with just under 11 minutes in the second quarter. Trainers were working on his right shoulder on the sideline during the second quarter. At this point, we are unsure of the severity of the injury.
D.J. Wonnum will likely fill in at left defensive end. The Vikings are also witout left defensive tackle Michael Pierce, who is inactive with an elbow issue. Hunter missed all of last season with a neck issue and had surgery to fix a herniated disc last October.
