Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones per the team sustained a hip injury during the first half of the team's Week 5 matchup against the New York Jets in London. By video believe he suffered a right proximal hamstring injury.
Initially designated as questionable to return, Jones spent about 10 minutes in the blue medical tent then was officially ruled out in the third quarter, according to the NFL Network broadcast.
Before leaving the game, Jones rushed seven times for 29 yards and caught a 24-yard pass, continuing his early-season momentum. Just a week earlier, Jones delivered a standout performance in a revenge game against his former team, the Green Bay Packers, where he rushed 22 times for 93 yards and added 46 receiving yards to secure the Vikings' win.
With Jones’ injury, the Vikings will hope he can return after the Week 6 bye. We expect he will be able to return in Week 7
