Multiple national NFL reporters are reporting that Von Miller's season is over after a MRI confirmed a significant ankle injury that will likely need surgery. Our analysis at profootballdoc.com expects Miller's injury to be a peroneal tendon subluxation/dislocation and not a tendon tear. We believe strongly that his season is not over. In my NFL experience, several players that have suffered said injury have returned within the same season. Given the early nature of the injury, expect Miller to be placed on injured reserve and be able to return in the second half of this season. Others have returned in as little as two to three months after surgery. This is certainly a big blow for the Broncos defense but his season is not lost.
