Two of the top five teams in the Western Conference face off Sunday night as the Mavericks battle the Warriors on the road.
The Mavericks hold the slight injury advantage with their main loss being G/F Tim Hardaway who has missed the last 12 games due to a fractured left foot.
Warriors Health - SIC score 77.4
The Warriors has played fantastic this season landing them 2nd overall in the Western Conference. They played well without star guard Klay Thompson to start the season and have endured the recent loss of team leader Draymond Green.
Thompson has performed admirably in his return from two loss seasons due to injuries but will miss Sunday primetime matchup due to an illness. The guard was unable to practice yesterday meaning more minutes and specifically three point opportunities for Jordan Poole (FD $5,300).
Green will continue to miss time due a disc issue in his back meaning Kevin Looney (FD $4,600) will again draw the start as James Wiseman remain out with a knee issue.
Looney is a reliable source for boards but his minutes fluctuate game to game making him a boom or bust value play.
Mavericks Health SIC score 86.9
In what seems like an up and down season for the Mavericks have them currently sitting pretty in the 5th position in the Western Conference. After trading oft-injured PF Kristaps Porzingis to the Wizards at the trade deadline, the only significant injury concern is Hardaway.
The sharpshooter was averaging just over 14 points before the injury leaving the Mavericks to lean even more on All-Star Luka Doncic (FD $11.100).
Expect a do it all effort from the Slovenian national meaning a potential triple double is in play.
Both teams are rather healthy but the absence of Thompson gives the Mavericks a significant health advantage:
Mavericks +3.5
Dwight Powell O8.5 Points
Jordan Poole O2.5 Threes Made
