Washington Down to 4th Center After Schweitzer Injures Left Ankle

Washington center Wes Schweitzer suffered an ankle injury in the 2nd quarter, forcing them to turn to 4th-stringer Keith Ismael. By video, Schweitzer appeared to sustain a significant left ankle inversion that will likely keep him out for the rest of the contest against Seattle. He will undergo x-rays that we expect to be negative. Ismael, who was drafted in the 5th round of the 2020 Draft, has played in 9 offensive snaps in his career heading into tonight. This is indicative of the place Washington's offensive line is in after losing starting center Chase Rouiller for the season with a leg injury and had to sideline backup Tyler Larsen with a knee injury he suffered in Week 11.
