The Washington Football Team continues its streak of terrible luck at quarterback as presumed starter Kyle Allen has been lost to an ankle fracture for the year. They now turn back to Alex Smith, recently returned from a catastrophic leg injury himself. It is a feat in and of itself that he is back on the field, but his mobility will not be the same and he’ll have to adjust to being more of a pocket passer for the time being. He’ll have less help at receiver than ideal, with 3 wideouts out with injury. Tight end Logan Thomas is back from injury, but they are facing issues on this line, as blindside protector Geron Christian Sr. is out with a knee injury.
