Use these SIC player health scores to make decisions when setting your fantasy and daily fantasy lineups. SIC scores from Dr. David Chao, ProFootballDoc, estimate how effective player will perform despite injury.
Quarterbacks
Joe Burrow (91 last week) 90
The young Bengals quarterback should have no trouble throwing the ball after suffering a dislocated pinky last week. Burrow may have to modify his handoffs and take more snaps in shotgun.
Justin Fields (76 last week) 86
The rookie Bears quarterback will return against the Packers after suffering three cracked ribs in Week 11. Expect him to be as mobile as usual outside the pocket.
Zach Wilson (86 last week) 88
The rookie Jets quarterback is still working through his right knee PCL strain, but should look more mobile this week.
Running Backs
Aaron Jones (76 two weeks ago) 93
The Packers running back was ineffective in his return against the Rams, but got the bye week to rest. He should resume the lead back role and outpace A.J. Dillon against the Bears.
Alvin Kamara (46 last week) 90
The versatile Saints back reportedly had a hamstring strain in addition to a left knee MCL strain. Kamara has missed the last four games, but should be able to handle a full workload with Mark Ingram on the COVID reserve list.
Joe Mixon (96 last week) 90
Mixon did not practice all week with an illness, but will likely play against the 49ers. Expect him to get his full dosage of carries and catches.
David Montgomery (93 last week) 92
The second-year Bears back missed practice time with multiple ailments this week, but enters the Sunday night game without an injury designation.
Melvin Gordon III/Javonte Williams (69 last week) 89
The lead Broncos running back should return this week and faces a Lions defense ravaged by injuries and illness. Williams has had a great rookie campaign and should get a fair share of carries as well.
David Johnson (77 last week) 92
The veteran Texans rusher missed last week’s game with a thigh contusion and illness, but will make his return against the Seahawks.
Wide Receivers
Davante Adams (96 last week) 91
The star Packers wideout was limited in practice all week with a hamstring injury, but enters the game without an injury designation. He was likely dealing with hamstring tightness, but his usage is something to monitor going forward.
Amari Cooper (83 last week) 93
Cooper reportedly had a lingering cough last week after testing positive for COVID-19 and missing the game on Thanksgiving. He should be near full health after the extra days of rest following the win over the Saints.
Deebo Samuel (30 last week) 30
The versatile 49ers wideout missed last week’s game with a groin strain and is questionable for the contest against the 49ers. His groin strain is likely not healed enough for him to play.
Julio Jones 64
Jones, the veteran Titans wideout, has been activated off IR, but he won’t be fully healthy from his hamstring strain. Nonetheless, he should be effective against the Jaguars and will likely use his height and strength to secure catches.
Tee Higgins (92 last week) 84
Higgins was dragged down from behind last week and tweaked his right ankle. He returned to the game and caught a touchdown, but the lingering ankle injury will likely limit his effectiveness.
Allen Robinson II (39 last week) 78
The Bears wideout has missed the last three weeks with a hamstring strain. He’ll return this week against the Packers, but may have trouble getting open with his hamstring not yet fully healed.
Kenny Golladay (90 last week) 63
Golladay exited the game against the Dolphins last week with injured ribs before returning in the second half. He can manage the pain with a rib block injection, but the missed practice time will make it difficult to click with quarterback Mike Glennon.
Sterling Shepard (23 last week) 49
The 28-year-old hasn’t played since Week 8, but has a chance to play this week against the Chargers. His lingering quadriceps strain will make it tough to get open.
Tight Ends
Rob Gronkowski (88 last week) 92
Tom Brady’s favorite redzone target is healthy from his injured ribs and back spasms.
T.J. Hockenson (90 last week) 36
The Lions tight end is doubtful with a hand injury and likely won’t play against Denver.
