As we head into Week 7 of the NFL season, teams are struggling with key injuries that may impact upcoming games. At SICscore.com, we provide expert insights from Dr. David Chao, MD (@ProFootballDoc) and other top sports doctors to help fans and analysts understand the impact of these injuries on the player and team.
Travis Etienne - SIC Score 55
Head coach Doug Pederson said Friday that Etienne will be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup against the Patriot with the hamstring injury he'd been managing, he'd already been considered week-to-week and only was able to log a limited session in practice on Friday, lowering his chances of availability for Week 7
Rhamondre Stevenson - SIC Score 89
After managing a foot injury, he was back at practice on Friday, was held out of the previous five practices, as well as the team's Week 6 loss to Houston, but he made the trip to London and is getting at least limited reps in Friday
Jordan Mason - SIC Score 43
His availability this week could be a coaching decision, he will be healthier sooner than McCaffrey, he has a left AC joint sprain, took one play in the second half of last week's game and couldn't finish, if he gets an injection he could play this week, but that remains to be seen, we lean towards the dubious side of his chances for this Sunday
Jonathan Taylor - SIC Score 43
As expected, Jonathan Taylor has officially been ruled out for Week 7 against the Dolphins with the high ankle sprain he's been managing\
Devin Singletary - SIC Score 85
After missing the last two games, he is set to make his return to the lineup after working through a groin injury, the Giants indicated he may be eased back in so expect production to be somewhat limited
Jerome Ford - SIC Score 48
Has been ruled out for Week 7 with the hamstring injury he had been dealing with since last week's game, he was considered week-to-week and chances of being available for this week were always low
Malik Nabers - SIC Score 84
Has progressed through the concussion protocol and was a full participant in practice Thursday in the lead up to Sunday's game against the Eagles, increasing his chances of availability for Week 7
Marvin Harrison Jr. - SIC Score 72
A concussion for Harrison was confirmed this week after the wideout appeared wobbly following a big hit in the second quarter of Sunday’s game. He was eventually ruled out after undergoing a concussion evaluation. With the Cardinals’ next game scheduled for Monday Night Football, Harrison has a bit of extra time to recover. However, a more official update on his availability will be provided later in the week. At SICscore.com, we lean toward the expectation that the rookie will sit out this week to prioritize his recovery.
De'Von Achane - SIC Score 70
Head coach Mike McDaniel said he's "optimistic" that Achane will fully clear the NFL's concussion protocol after Friday's practice, once he does, he will be available to play vs the Colts
Michael Pittman - SIC Score 86
Listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Dolphins, is expected to play this weekend as long as he doesn't have a setback with his back injury, he was able to play through a back injury that was initially believed to sideline him for a while but he managed a regular workload last week
Jakobi Meyers - SIC Score 50
Head coach Antonio Pierce said Friday that Meyers will be listed as doubtful for Sunday's road game against the Rams with the ankle injury he's been managing that kept him out of last week's game
Josh Downs - SIC Score 80
Listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins with a toe injury that he has been managing since Week 5
Diontae Johnson - SIC Score 70
Has been playing through an ankle injury the last two weeks, and is now officially listed as Questionable with hamstring and rib injuries as well, was a DNP all week up until a limited session on Friday, lowering his chances of availability for Week 7, he will likely be a game-time decision and will need to be monitored
Dallas Goedert - SIC Score 45
Has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants with a hamstring injury that he sustained last week
