Jimmy Garoppolo (39 two weeks ago) 94
The 29-year-old will return to start against the Colts on Sunday night. He missed one game with his Week 4 calf contusion and got the bye week to rest. We think he will be close to 100%, which the 49ers will need since rookie Trey Lance is out with a knee sprain.
Justin Fields (86 last week) 90
The rookie’s Week 5 left knee injury should be mostly behind him. He had six rushes for 43 yards against the Packers and completed 16 of his 27 passes for a touchdown and an interception. Fields gets a favorable matchup against a Buccaneers defense missing three of its four cornerbacks.
Tua Tagovailoa (82 last week) 85
The 23-year-old quarterback played well in his return last week, but will still have some rust associated with missing the previous three games. The ribs may still be sore, thus don’t expect him to be as mobile as he has been in the past.
Kyler Murray (89 last week) 94
The third-year quarterback apparently injured his right shoulder in Week 5 against the 49ers, but didn’t seem affected by the injury last week. He completed 20 of his 30 passes for 229 yards and four touchdowns against the Browns. Murray is off the injury report this week and we expect a big performance from the young quarterback.
Joe Burrow (84 last week) 90
The former LSU quarterback is still on voice rest during practice, but will call plays this Sunday. His surgically repaired left knee is looking better and better every week.
