Injury Advantage: Cowboys Defense
Mike Glennon will start his third straight game for the Giants, while the Cowboys have a fully healthy defensive line for the second game this season.
Expect Glennon to be under pressure all game, especially with the Giants down offensive linemen at center and left guard. Carlos Watkins and Randy Gregory should create plenty of problems on the right side.
The Giants wide receiving core also has a host of health issues. Kenny Golladay suffered an injury to his ribs two weeks ago, but was off the practice reports this week. Sterling Shepard has been dealing with soft tissue injuries all season and apparently suffered a calf injury in practice Friday and is questionable for the game, plus Kadarius Toney is on the COVID reserve list.
Giants running back Saquon Barkley is also not 100% on his surgically repaired right knee or his injured left ankle. Expect him to split snaps with Devontae Booker, as he has done since his return.
Secondary Advantage: Cowboys Offense
Although Dallas still has health issues at running back, they face a Giants team that will likely be down its starting strong safety, middle linebacker and right defensive tackle.
Backup running back Tony Pollard is questionable for this week’s game after missing last week with a torn plantar fascia in one of his feet. However, Ezekiel Elliott will start and has looked better as he fights through a bone bruise he suffered Week 5.
The Cowboys also have their top four wide receiver healthy against a Giants secondary down two cornerbacks.
