3-year Texas A&M starting tight end Jalen Wydermyer appears to be fully healed from the freak accident that caused ligament damage in his finger last March.
Wydermyer missed spring practice after undergoing surgery but was ready to go for the 2021 season, posting 40 receptions and a team-high 515 yards with 4 touchdowns, showing no ill-effects from the surgery.
Wydermyer is the No. 3 tight end prospect according to Mel Kiper Jr. and projects to be a solid red zone target and potential deep threat at the NFL level.
The 2-time Mackey Award Finalist, given to the FBS’ best tight end, boasts an ideal 6-foot-5, 255-pound frame with a big catch radius and soft hands who can complement outside receivers in a spread offense, according to The Draft Network.
With the finger injury behind him, Wydermyer enters the 2022 Draft fully healthy.
