Kyle Hamilton, the former Notre Dame safety, is probably the most one of the most exciting and versatile defensive prospect in the draft.
However, a right knee injury in late October robbed him of playing in the team's final six games of the season.
While exact details about the knee injury weren't officially released, it appeared by video to be an MCL sprain, said Dr. David Chao, ProFootballDoc.
An MRI revealed no structural damage and Hamilton did not require surgery to fix the issue.
While Hamilton was out for a significant stretch of the season with the injury, teams likely won't shy away from such an exciting prospect for an issue that has long since healed, Chao said.
The 21-year-old safety is a projected top 5 pick and seems poised for a starting job wherever he lands.
He finished his Notre Dame career with 138 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, 8 interceptions and 16 passes defended in 31 games.
Hamilton also allowed a passer rating of just 1.3 in 250 coverage snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
He ran a 4.59 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Draft Combine and a 4.56 at the Fighting Irish's Pro Day on Friday. While the numbers weren't dazzling, the important part is his knee is 100% healed and ready for any offseason program.
