Zach Ertz suffered a broken rib and a lacerated kidney. He will not play today, and even if the Eagles make the playoffs he will miss next week too. The Eagles will not risk Ertz's health off the field, and the recovery for this injury is typically four weeks. I do not think he will need surgery and he will preserve function of both kidneys. He will only return if the Eagles reach the Super Bowl.
