Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson left the game with a right knee injury and is questionable to return. By video, Wilson was sacked by Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon in the second quarter and landed on a flexed knee. We have significant worry for a PCL strain. It will be difficult for him to return today and, depending on severity, he could miss several weeks. The right knee injury could affect his ability to plant and throw, plus limit his mobility in the pocket. Mike White is in at quarterback.
Update
Wilson has been ruled out for the game and might be looking at a multi-week absence. The Jets play the Bengals Week 8, then the Colts on Thursday night Week 9. After the game, Wilson said his knee felt "loose." That feeling is indicative of at least a grade 2 PCL strain. We would expect Wilson to miss several weeks with the injury and a short term IR stint is a possibility.
